    FIFTH GRADE SUPPLY LIST: 2024-2025

    Please note that the 5th grade lockers are small (about half the size of a full-length locker).  Extra-large backpacks, backpacks with wheels, and oversized binders/trapper keepers will not fit in our lockers.

    Homeroom

    Two boxes of tissues for classroom use. 

    **Optional but welcomed items: Paper towels, sanitizing wipes, baby wipes. This will be used throughout the year to help keep our classroom clean and sanitized. Donations can be made anytime throughout the year. 

    Daily Class Supplies 

    Please keep these items in a pencil bag.

    Pencils, colored pencils, Pencil sharpener, Erasers, Highlighters, Whiteboard Markers, Pens (any color except black; will be used for homework correction only). It would be helpful to get a “Take Home” folder for papers that need to go back and forth between school and home.

    There will be overlap of supplies between the different classes. Assignment pads will be distributed on the first day of school and must be brought to class each day.

    **Students should have their own wired HEADPHONES to use with the Chromebooks. A personal mouse isn’t required, but it is good to have. These items should be kept in a labeled plastic bag.

    (1) 1-inch Floppy Plastic Binder (hard cover binders do not fit in our lockers)

    5 Dividers with pockets  and tabs to put in the binder.

    Tab 4- Fiction

    Tab 5 - Nonfiction


    Notebook paper(divide the paper in back of each divider before coming to class)

    • 2 packages of SKINNY whiteboard markers (one to be kept at home for use later in the year)

    • 2 different colored highlighters 

    • 1 package of colored pencils

    One spiral notebook

    One two pocket folder

    Pencil Case with the “Daily Class Supplies” (as noted above) to include:

    • Pencils (preferably Ticonderoga) & erasers 

    • Pencil sharpener (handheld) 

    • 1 package of SKINNY whiteboard markers 

    • 1  pack of pens - any color except for black

    Science:

    One - three subject notebook labeled Science 

    One two pocket folder - same color as the notebook labeled Science

    *If the notebook has pocket folders in it already, that is fine too.  As long as the student does not lose handouts/ lab sheets.

    Social Studies

    One 3 ring  1-inch floppy plastic binder

    One package of 5 dividers (We’ll label in class)

    One two pocket folder (with holes) - same color as the binder

    10–20 sheets notebook paper (package can be shared with Literacy)

    5th Grade Band:

    • A ½ inch, three-ring binder (hardcover recommended)

    • Dividers (5-tab)

    • Habits of a Successful Beginner Band Musician

      • Please select the book that correlates with your instrument.

      • Feel free to order the book from another vendor such as Music and Arts or Amazon.

    • Metronome (Optional but recommended for home practice)

    • Music Stand (Optional but recommended for home practice)
