    Mrs. Marisa Albano is excited to be teaching at HB Whitehorne Middle School and will be part of the sixth grade team, where she will be teaching science and science enrichment.

    Mrs. Albano graduated from Boston College with a BA in Communications and a Masters of Education in both Special and Elementary Education. Upon completing her degrees, she returned to Verona the town in which she was born and raised. Mrs. Albano is a true product of the Verona school system and she is proud to have the opportunity to give back educationally to the town that had given so much to her family.
     
    Mrs. Albano enjoys spending time with her family, especially her son Rocco who will be starting his Freshman year at James Madison University. The Albano family are die heart Yankee fans. In her free time, Mrs. Albano loves to go to see the Yankees play with both Mr. Albano and Rocco at Yankee Stadium.  


    Mrs. Albano's first teaching assignment was in Brookdale Avenue School, where she taught fourth grade. She spent the next eight years at F.N. Brown Elementary School teaching second grade. After nine years at the elementary level, Mrs. Albano decided to make a big change and moved to H.B.Whitehorne.

    Mrs. Albano comes from a family of educators who have always encouraged her to be the best teacher possible. Her husband, Mr. Albano, retired principal of Laning Avenue School and her mother, a retired Verona teacher, both are a major influence in her career.

    Mrs. Albano believes that learning takes place both inside and outside of the school environment. She encourages her students to share her belief that hard work and success in school will bring much success in life.
