Name: Mrs. Darata (formerly Ms. Kunkel)
    Grade/Subject: 5th Grade Math-Olmsted House
    Professional Bio:
I am excited to be returning to the 5th grade community at H.B.Whitehorne. Although I am originally from New Jersey, I began my teaching career in a middle school in North Carolina where I taught academically gifted students. From there I accepted a teaching post at an all girls secondary school in Dover, England. When I was not teaching I took advantage of my time abroad to travel throughout Europe. Upon returning to the U.S., I taught at the middle school level in a charter school in Philadelphia. I have now "returned home" to New Jersey and I continue to be excited about teaching in Verona.

Enriching the lives of students educationally and culturally is extremely important. I believe by working together throughout the year student, parent/guardian and teacher can forge a relationship of educational success. It is with this in mind that I look forward to a fantastic school year of enrichment and achievement!
