Julia Peter

Supervisor of Humanities K-12

As Supervisor of Humanities, Mrs. Peter oversees the English/Language Arts, Social Studies, and World Language programs across the Verona Public Schools.

Mrs. Peter joined the Verona Public Schools as a teacher at Brookdale Avenue School. There she taught kindergarten, first, and fourth grades. In 2019, Mrs. Peter joined the H. B. Whitehorne Middle School staff as a sixth grade literacy teacher. She joined the administrative team in September 2021 and is excited to continue to contribute to the Verona community in her new role.

Mrs. Peter completed her undergraduate education at The College of New Jersey, graduating with a B.S. in elementary education and English. She continued her education by completing a graduate certificate program through Fairleigh Dickinson University in Orton-Gillingham multi-sensory reading instruction. She then earned a master's degree in educational leadership through Montclair State University.
