Welcome to 7th grade Science!
Hi! My name is Miss Domanski and I am the 7th Grade Carnegie Science teacher, Oceanography teacher, and Environmental Club co-advisor.
While this is my second year teaching, I am very excited to start my first year at H.B. Whitehorne! Previously, I taught fifth grade inclusion in North Brunswick Township which is close to the college where I studied Psychology and Education. I graduated from Rutgers University in 2018 with my B.A. and a year later in 2019 with my M. Ed. concentrating in Special Education. Throughout my educational experiences I have also been fortunate enough to work as a 6th and 8th grade Science teacher in Denville, NJ and 3rd grade teacher in Rahway, NJ. All of these opportunities have helped me grow professionally as a teacher and expand my love for working with students.
At HBW I hope to inspire a love of science in all my students and enable many creative ways to problem-solve. It is important for students to inquire why things work and how they work while collaborating with each other to discover new parts of the world. I am excited to meet all the inquisitive students of HBW and make science learning fun!
Outside of school I enjoy bouldering indoors, listening to podcasts, walking around my neighborhood in Bedminster, NJ, teaching kids how to swim, and watching hockey. In the summers I enjoy traveling to Poland where most of my family lives. As a first-generation American I take pride in being able to fluently read, write, and speak Polish in order to hold on to my native roots!
I am very excited for the new school year and look forward to working with your child! If you need to contact me I am always available via email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
