Mr. Ryan Brown

Hello Everyone, 

My name is Mr. Brown; I have been teaching at Henry B. Whitehorne Middle School since 2021 and coaching Varsity volleyball at Verona High School since 2020! I have always been passionate about everything related to movement and sports. My goal as a health and physical education teacher is to share my love for movement with all students in a way they can take with them for the rest of their lives through team and individual-based games and activities. Besides the numerous physical, mental, and emotional benefits of movement, I firmly believe that sports and activities teach problem-solving and collaboration among peers, all while having fun! 

I graduated from Montclair State University in 2019 with my bachelor's and Master's Degrees in teaching. In 2024, I graduated from Montclair State University once again, this time receiving my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. When not teaching or coaching volleyball, I am also a CPR, AED, First Aid and lifeguarding instructor, teaching individuals how to use lifesaving skills! In addition to that, I enjoy spending time with my family, which consists of my wife, daughter, and son!
