Core Strategies/Support Class

Course Description 2024-2025

Core Support Class will help students succeed in all academic areas by supporting their academic day.  This includes content area skills, projects, re-teaching/pre-teaching, and learning strategies/skills. This class provides students with additional instruction in specific subject areas.

In supporting the student’s academic day, organization and study skills are also taught. Each student will check his/her planner every day to make sure all homework has been accurately written down in the student planner. Various academic skills, such as note-taking, vocabulary-building, and test-taking strategies will help students succeed. Ultimately, the desired outcome of the Academic Support/Strategies class is for students to develop the techniques and self-confidence that will help them find success in all academic areas.
