Please understand that being in a cast is a team activity and an absence affects everyone! If your students did not have a previously listed conflict, they will be expected to be at rehearsal for the full time. We cannot guarantee that your student will appear in the scenes for which rehearsals they missed.
Even one absence is a big deal. Excessive absences or a surprise unexcused absence will result in the removal from songs/scenes or even the production.
