Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Stefanie Lijoi

Ms. Lijoi graduated from William Paterson University in 2005 with her certification to teach K-8 literacy as well as science. She began teaching in Verona in 2007 as a sixth grade literacy and science teacher and soon found a home at Henry B. Whitehorne Middle School. Eight years later, Ms. Lijoi earned her Masters Degree in Reading Instruction and shortly after, she began teaching seventh grade literacy at HBW. In 2020, Ms. Lijoi became the fifth grade Carnegie literacy teacher, and has truly enjoyed welcoming the fifth graders into middle school. She understands how crucial the middle school years are in the lives of today's youth, and she feels blessed to be able to guide her students to reach their full potential as readers, writers, and responsible members of the school community.

During her spare time, Ms. Ljioi loves reading and learning new things, cooking and eating healthy foods, exercising, singing, dancing, and doing any outdoor activities. She can be found spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Lijoi loves her fifth grade family, and looks forward to getting to know her students throughout each school year.
