    Grade/Subject: Sports Medicine Club
    Professional Bio: For students interested in careers in the sports medicine field, or those who want to learn more about how the professionals manage common athletic injuries. Students will learn about education of the field, types of injuries sports medicine professionals treat, and the time commitment involved in this field.  Students will also learn of the different concentrations in the field such as athletic trainers, physical therapists, physician assistants, etc.  We will discuss current issues in the field that are in mass media.  Meetings are once a month please look on the club board in the guidance office for dates and times.
    MEETINGS
    September: Introduction and description of the club. Welcome new members.
    October: Discussion of what education is needed for sports medicine careers.
    November: Discussion of what education is needed for athletic trainers and physical therapist and what is expected for each career on a particular level.
