All children are special individuals who learn in many different ways.
Every child can succeed.
Mrs. Melissa Symczak graduated from Glassboro State College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. After college, she taught first grade for seven years. She has taught second and third grade at Brookdale for twenty-eight years. This coming year she's looking forward to teaching third grade again. Please continue to teach your child responsibility by discussing the contents of his/her homework folder together daily.
Encourage your child to spend time reading every day. Reading to your child is also very beneficial to help your son or daughter develop and improve literacy skills. The quantity of reading increases stamina and the quality of reading increases your child's ability to think deeply and connect to the text. Both will help to build vocabulary. Reading is the best gift you can give to your child!
