Mrs. Grace Minervo-Buneo

Originally from New York, this Brooklyn girl found her way to Verona, NJ in 1996 after many years of enjoying the city life.  Miss Grace has a BA Degree in Dance with a Minor in Psychology from Hunter College CUNY and a Master's in Special Education from The College of Staten Island CUNY. Miss Grace has been a Special Education Teacher for over 25 years.  Her career started in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn at The William O'Connor School.  When she moved to Verona, she worked at The Demonstration Program at Montclair State University both as a Preschool Special Education Teacher and an Early Intervention Teacher. In 2007, she joined the Preschool Intervention Program at Laning Avenue School and has happily been there ever since.

Miss Grace is married to her husband Mark and has two grown-up children, Chris, age 25, and Isabelle, age 20, both former Laning Avenue School Alum.  In her spare time, Miss Grace is a dancer, choreographer, runner and dance fitness instructor.  Bringing movement and music into the preschool classroom has been a true joy and she loves watching the children dance their dances each day.  

Miss Grace loves to teach her amazing preschool students each year, listen to music from Rock to Disco to Show Tunes, vacation with her family and enjoy time with good friends.  

My teaching passion is to work with children with different abilities and their families.  

I look forward to a great 2022-2023 school year.
