Mrs. Flashenberg earned her B.A. in Public Relations from the University of Rhode Island in 2014 and spent the following two years working in wholesale sales in New York City. During that time, Mrs. Flashenberg decided to pursue education as a career after volunteering at an elementary school in the city. Before joining the Verona family in 2019, Mrs. Flashenberg spent a year as a 3rd grade leave-replacement teacher in another district.
This is Mrs. Flashenberg’s fourth year at F. N. Brown. She spent her first two years teaching 3rd grade, taught 4th grade last year, and is currently teaching 3rd grade. Mrs. Flashenberg is also currently pursuing her M.A. in Educational Technology through New Jersey City University.
Mrs. Flashenberg enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and miniature dachshund named Oliver. She believes strongly in creating an inclusive environment for all students, and she strives to create a joyful classroom built from kindness and mutual respect.
