- About Mrs. Flashenberg

Mrs. Flashenberg earned her B.A. in Public Relations from the University of Rhode Island in 2014 and spent the following two years working in wholesale sales in New York City. During that time, Mrs. Flashenberg decided to pursue education as a career after volunteering at an elementary school in the city. Mrs. Flashenberg went back to school and completed the Post-Baccalaureate Teaching Program at Montclair State University and received her K-6 teaching certificate in Elementary Education. Mrs. Flashenberg also received her M.A. in Educational Technology from New Jersey City University in 2024.
This is Mrs. Flashenberg’s sixth year at F. N. Brown and she has taught both 3rd and 4th grade in Verona. Currently, she teaches 4th grade. Before joining the Verona family in 2019, Mrs. Flashenberg spent a year as a 3rd grade leave-replacement teacher in another district.
Mrs. Flashenberg enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and miniature dachshund named Oliver. She believes strongly in creating an inclusive environment for all students, and she strives to create a joyful classroom built from kindness and mutual respect.
