Mrs. Corisa Walker is the School Librarian at Brookdale Avenue School and F.N. Brown School. Mrs. Walker is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, with a degree in Elementary Education and Sociology, and has a Master's Degree in Education with School Library Certification from William Paterson University.  Mrs. Walker has been a teacher in Verona since 2012, and spent the first 12 years of her career with the Paterson Public Schools, as a 4th and 5th grade teacher, a Library Media Specialist, and an Instructional Coach.   She has always loved to read, and was lucky enough to have her reading interests nurtured by her parents and her educators.  It was her love for reading and strong desire to expose students to the wonderful world of books that guided her to become a School Librarian.  Mrs. Walker is a Verona resident with two children in the Verona Public School system.  Her goals are to prepare  students to be active and responsible 21st century learners, to engage students in the research process, and most importantly, to foster a love and appreciation of reading in every student.
