Welcome to Second Grade!

I cannot wait to see all of your wonderful smiling faces in September!  We will be starting a new year filled with fun learning and exciting adventures.  This will be a year-long journey that I am happy to take with you.  To prepare ourselves for this next chapter of our educational story, you will need the items listed below.  Do not worry if you do not have all of these items on the first day.  Please try to label as many items as possible with your full name.  

Supply List:

• Two boxes of sharpened number 2 pencils
• Crayola crayons (16 assorted colors - no more)
• Two boxes of low odor dry-erase markers
• Two yellow highlighters and one highlighter of a different color
• One small bottle of Elmer's glue (no glue sticks)
• Scissors with an appropriate point(not a rounded tip)
• One art smock labeled with your child's name and placed in a labeled gallon Ziploc bag
• One container of Playdoh
• One sketchpad
• One container of disinfecting wipes
• One package of hand wipes 
• One roll of paper towels
• Headphones labeled and placed in a Ziplock bag for use with chromebooks 
• One pencil box
• One folder for SEL (Mrs. Lustig) and one folder for writing activities both labeled with your child's name

Please do not bring:

• Mechanical or plastic-covered pencils
• Individual pencil sharpeners

I will provide all other supplies on the first day of school, including all folders (except for SEL and writing), notebooks, post-its, colored pencils, markers, rulers, pump hand sanitizers and homework pads.  I will hold the boxes of pencils, expo markers and highlighters separately to replenish them throughout the year.  Please send pencil boxes empty and we will fill them on the first day.
