- Letter to New 1st Grade Parents
-
2015-2016 School Year
Dear Parents of 1st Graders,
Hello! My name is Tatiana LaStella and I will have the pleasure of being your child’s first grade teacher this year. I am excited about the year ahead of us and I am looking forward to meeting you and your child.
My promise to you is that I will put the best interest of your child first, keep you informed about your child’s progress and struggles, and always welcome your input and support. Together, as parents and teacher, we can truly provide acomfortable, stimulating, nurturing, and challenging environment for yourchild. I encourage you to contact me at any time with any concerns, questions, and/orcomments you might have. You can always leave a message for me at the school office, send a note in with your child, or email me at tlastella@veronaschools.org.
First grade is a stimulating and exciting place. Lessons will be differentiated to meet the needs of your child and muchof our curriculum is integrated, which means that the themes explored in reading are often related to a unit in social studies and science, word problems in math, songs in music, stories heard in library, etc. Your child will also have the opportunity to go into Mrs. Bavolar’s classroom twice a week for science lessons.
Below is a link for a parent questionnaire. Please email me your responses from the email address you wish me to use throughout the school year prior to the first day of school. You can use your child’s first and last name as the subject. If there is something you wish share with me over the phone or in person, please let me know so I can contact you directly. Have a safe, happy and fun summer! See you in September!
Sincerely,
Mrs.Tatiana LaStella
