Mallory’s Army Foundation - Tuesday, October 7, 2025
Dear VHS Community,
As a result of the generosity of Verona Together, Verona High School will welcome Dianne Grossman, founder of Mallory’s Army Foundation, to present to all VHS students during an assembly on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 9:40am, in the auditorium. There will be a community presentation that same evening beginning at 6:00pm.
During the assembly, Dianne’s powerful message will address complex and important topics such as bullying, suicide, loss, and depression, drawing from her personal experiences and her mission to empower kindness and resilience in young people. Dianne utilizes her daughter Mallory’s story to empower students. You can read more about Mallory’s story here.
School counselors will be present to support students as Dianne’s message touches on sensitive but important issues. At the conclusion of the assembly, each student will receive a Blue Band as a reminder to choose kindness and contribute to a respectful school community.
Dianne’s advocacy through Mallory’s Army has touched countless lives. Having her share her story in Verona will be an important opportunity for our community to come together to listen, learn, and engage in meaningful dialogue.
Again, a special thank you to Verona Together for making this event possible.
Sincerely,
VHS Administration

Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day - Wednesday, October 8th!
Dear VHS Community,
We’re excited to invite all students to participate in Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day on Wednesday, October 8th! Many of our athletes will be supporting this event at elementary schools across the district, and we’d love to see every student take part. Let’s aim to have the most students in the district walking, biking, or rolling to school that day!
Walking, biking, or rolling isn’t just fun — it’s important! It:
Gets you moving and energized for the day
Reduces car pollution and helps the environment
Strengthens our community and keeps streets safer
Saves money and makes it easier for everyone to get around
Let’s make this an amazing day for everyone — grab your sneakers, bikes, or scooters, and join us in moving together!
Let’s go together,
High School Administration
