Tutor

Dear Verona Public Schools Community,

The Verona High School Chapter of the National Honor Society offers a peer tutoring program to support students academically while giving NHS members the opportunity to serve their community.

If you or your student would benefit from tutoring, please complete this form. Once received, we will connect the student with an NHS tutor (or more than one if multiple subjects are requested). The tutor will reach out directly to coordinate.

NHS tutors are available to assist students in grades K–12. For students in grades K–8, please include parent contact information instead of the student’s. When completing the form, please list the subject(s) or class(es) where support is needed. Tutors are also available to help with study skills and organization.

Please note: This program is intended as short-term academic support. NHS members are required to complete 10–15 tutoring hours per year, though some may choose to continue volunteering beyond that. Families may also decide to make arrangements directly with tutors to continue after the requirement is fulfilled. If a tutor is unable to continue, we will do our best to match your student with another NHS member if desired.

For tutoring to be effective, students must agree to participate, so please discuss this option with as a family before submitting the form. Matching typically takes a few days.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Dr. Tamburro who serves as our National Honor Society Advisor (ctamburro@veronaschools.org).

Thank you,
Verona High School
