Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope the school year is off to a great start for you and your family. As part of our commitment to supporting student growth, Verona High School will administer the MAP Growth Assessment this fall to the following students:

  • 9th and 10th graders currently enrolled in Algebra I or Geometry

  • 9th and 10th graders currently enrolled in English I or English II

Below are the details regarding testing dates, schedules, and expectations. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school counselor.


📅 Testing Dates & Times

  • Tuesday, September 9, 2025 – Algebra I & Geometry (Honors and CP)

  • Wednesday, September 10, 2025 – English I & II (Honors and CP)

  • Testing Window: 8:10–9:45 AM

Arrival Times

  • Grade 9 & 10 students enrolled in Algebra I, Geometry, English I, or English II: arrive by 8:00 AM.

  • Grade 9 & 10 students not in these courses, along with all grade 11 & 12 students: arrive by 9:35 AM and report to the auditorium.

Technology & Materials

  • Students must bring a fully charged Chromebook.

  • Wired headphones are encouraged for students who may need audio. (Wireless headphones are not permitted.)

Room Assignments

  • Students will be assigned to testing rooms by Mr. Merkler. Assignments will be shared with students in advance.

Wednesday, September 10 – B Day

  • MAP Testing: 8:10–9:45
