THE VERONA SCHOOL BOARD ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY INFORMATION
June, 2020 – The Verona School District has announced it has information available for citizens interested in running for a vacant seat on the Board of Education.
Information on the Candidates Kit can be located on the Verona Schools website www.veronaschools.org on the home page under News.
The Verona Board of Education will have 1 board seat that is up for reelection in the November 3, 2020 Annual School Election, Ernie Turner, Acting Board Secretary, announced today. A full term on the school board runs for three years.
Candidates must file a nominating petition with the county clerk by 4:00 p.m. on July 27, 2020. School board nominating petitions for the November election cannot be returned to the local school district office. The county clerk's address is: Essex County Clerk Election Division, Hall of Records, 465 Martin Luther King Blvd., Room 246, Newark, NJ 07102. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
