Extra Help
In sixth grade, the 6 Olmsted teachers are available for extra help. Students must schedule extra help sessions ahead of time with all teachers. It is important that students bring their materials with them when reporting for additional support. Students seeking extra MORNING help must receive a morning pass one day in advance.
HBW Sixth Grade Grading Policy90%: Assessments (Tests, Quizzes, Projects, etc.)10%: Classwork, Class Participation, & Homework- The sixth grade department has adopted the following grading policy. Each subject area has a slight difference in categories graded. Individual classroom teachers have the discretion to modify this policy for specific students and/or classes.
- If a student does not complete or submit a task, assessment, project, or assignment, then a zero will be earned as a grade. If a teacher determines that the student did not attempt to meet the basic requirements of the task/assessment, then a zero will be earned as a grade.
- At the teacher’s discretion, late assignments (not including daily HW) will receive a deduction of points per day late. After one week, a student must still hand in a late assignment, but no credit will be given.
- No extra credit assignments will be given to any student.
