    Mrs. Karen Tully graduated from The University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and membership in three national honor societies. Through a comprehensive dual certification program, she became a certified teacher in both elementary and special education. After five years of successful teaching, Mrs. Tully earned her Master's Degree in Special Education and became a certified LDT-C through William Paterson University.

    Mrs. Tully's teaching career began as a first grade teacher at a parochial school in Wayne, NJ. The following year she accepted a sabbatical leave replacement position in a K-1 multiage classroom in Westwood. Mrs. Tully then settled into second grade at Tulsa Trail School in Hopatcong. There she taught in a general education setting as well as in a second grade inclusionary classroom for five years. Prior to her arrival in Verona, Mrs. Tully spent two years in the City of Passaic as a Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant. There she began earning credits toward her ESL teaching certificate through New Jersey City University.

    In addition to her responsibilities with the students at F.N. Brown School, Brookdale Avenue School and the Pre-school Intervention Program, Mrs. Tully and her husband, Kevin, are also proudly raising their daughter, Kiley.
