Ms. Stefanie Lijoi is looking forward to beginning her thirteenth year at H.B.W.! Teaching literacy is her utmost passion, and she feels lucky enough to have the chance to share that with her students. Graduating from William Paterson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature in 2005, Ms. Lijoi also received her elementary teaching certificate and is highly qualified to teach literacy from grades K-12. She is most proud of graduating with a masters degree in Reading from William Paterson University in May 2013. In her free time, Ms. Lijoi enjoys singing, dancing, reading, exercising, experiencing new foods and cultures, and spending time with family and friends. Finally, Ms. Lijoi believes that a successful classroom begins with treating others the way one would want to be treated, and she hopes her students will learn to be a better version of themselves each day. She sincerely looks forward to meeting and getting to know her new students during the 2019-2020 school-year!
**Note: Ms. Lijoi is available in room 220 for extra help Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 3:20 and from 8:00 to 8:20. Students must let Ms. Lijoi know at least a day in advance before coming in for extra help since there are meetings both before and after school.
"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."
