Professional Bio:
Mr. Halpern has been teaching music in New Jersey since 2001. He has worked with students of all ages teaching concert band, marching band, jazz band, percussion ensemble, and more. His main instrument is percussion, and he is has Masters and Bachelors degrees in music from Rutgers University. When he is not teaching he enjoys spending time with family, reading, composing music, traveling, and rock climbing. His adventures have included trips to the summits of several mountains in Africa, South America, and the Pacific Northwest.
