• Hello Everyone! My name is Mr. Adler, and I am in my sixth year teaching Physical Education at Brookdale and Laning Avenue Elementary schools. I also teach Health at Brookdale as well. I received my Bachelor's in Sociology from Providence College in 2015. While at Providence College, I played on the Men's Division I soccer team and was team captain in the 2014 season where we won the program's first Big East Championship and reached the NCAA Semi-Finals. I then received my Masters of Arts in Teaching in Physical Education and Health from the Graduate School of Montclair State University in 2018. I am also a soccer coach for Jersey Crew SC in Montville, and a soccer trainer for CSF.

The goals of PE are to encourage healthy habits and to teach students that movement is FUN! We want students to become confident and creative movers and to choose to be active for a lifetime!

Concepts that we will cover during the school year are the following: Team Sports, Team Building, Muscular Strength, Cardiovascular Endurance, Interdisciplinary learning,Flexibility, Dance, Crossfit, and multiple other fun and exciting PE topics that will get students active and healthy.

In Physical Education, I emphasize the importance of sportsmanship, safety, team work, giving your best effort, and having fun!

In Health, we will cover topics such as personal growth & development, nutrition, safety, social/emotional/mental health, community services & support and more!

I am looking forward to another GREAT school year with all of you!
